Burial information from findagrave.com:

Chantry Lane just west of Main Street
Scotton
Harrogate Borough
North Yorkshire England

The ground lies off Main Street which runs north from Scotton, about 300 meters from village center, along Chantry Lane which is a private driveway leading west to Scotton Old Hall. The burial ground is a short distance along the driveway, on the right, reached though a gate in the stone wall.

The burial ground was leased to the Society of Friends in October 1670 for a term of 2000 years on a peppercorn rent, essentially as a gift from William and Edward Watkinson of Bradley near Skipton in Craven.

The restored burial ground walls, three grouped chest tombs of the Watkinson family (George, William and Ann) and three headstones (John Dodson, Ann Hogg and Margaret Middleton) are Grade II Listed Buildings (Statutory List of Buildings of Special Architectural or Historic Interest in the United Kingdom).

The burial ground fell into disuse by the Society of Friends many years ago, though until recently some members of a local Methodist family continued to be buried with headstones in one part of the ground. Recently there have been a number of green Quaker burials.
