V. James Cheyne, son of Christina Dumbreck Robertson and Robert Cheyne; born on April 27, 1875 at Blink Bonnie in the lower Wairau Valley, near Blenheim, New Zealand; died on April 8, 1937, age 61, in Wellington, New Zealand. He was the father of two children by his first wife, Jesse Skilling.
