After graduation worked as a Design Draftsman at Industrial
Engineering, Steelweld, for 3 years. Then to Unilever as Project
Engineer for another 3 years before joining APM as a Maintenance
Engineer at the Fairfield Mill. Transferred to APM Broadford Mill in
1972 as Mill Engineer. In 1978 transferred to APM Maryvale Mill as
Pulp Mill Engineer. Various senior management positions in plant
maintenance and Project Groups. Retired in September 1998.
Strathmore Grammer School, Williamstown, to grade 5 then to
Williamstown South State School for grade 6. Secondary education at
Footscray Technical College completing Diploma of Mechanical
Engineering in 1959. Certificate of Management, RMIT and Post Graduate
Diploma in Maintenance Management, Monash Gippsland.
