Marion Walker Dumbreck b. 4/30/1880, d. 10/06/1959.
Marion married Alfred Cross in Glasgow on 12/12/1901, and came to Dover, New Jersey, USA in 1905. Mary Henrietta Dumbreck also came to Dover a bit later. She never married, and is buried in Morristown, New Jersey.

Hello Rod,
I'm quite pleased to hear from you. I have been dabbling in genealogy for
the past 2 years, but have had little luck in following the Dumbreck line
as most of the computer-based references are for ancestors in North America
and do not extend overseas. And besides, I'm not as adventurous on the
computer as I might be.
I have a good bit of original material from Marion Walker Dumbreck and will
be happy to copy these items and mail them to you. I will attempt to put
all in some kind of order so that you can follow it. I will also include
some pictures that should be interesting, as well as a current lineage of
Marion's descendents.
I would be interested as to how I might obtain a copy or reference to
William Sr.'s military record. Our "family history" spoke of him as having
been Captain of HMS Victory, but I have always had my doubts. Your records
indicate that he did serve on Victory, and we would be interested to have a
better understanding.
Your message mentions Ross, Scott and Suzanne Dumbreck, but I am afraid I
do not know them. If you could put them in touch, I would be appreciative.
I hope to get my package off to you in the next week. Can you send me your
postal address?
