Moved to Kapunda, South Australia about 1874 and set up business as tanners

William Dumbreck who lived in Kapunda Australia, purchased freehold land of four and a half acres with a mortgage of one hundred pounds. William married Helen O'Brian in 1876 in Emerald, (Goldmine towns in Aust. were always named after a precious stone) There were no children and William (Bill) Dumbreck remembers his father telling him that his grandfather received money from Australia from the estate.
